Four Corners
Blok Developments was selected by Laganside to develop Four Corners, an important gateway site at the entrance to Belfast's Cathedral Quarter.
Blok planned to build a major city centre hotel for an Irish hotel group but the deal did not proceed at the last minute and Nick was brought in to find a new operator.
Using his extensive contacts in the hotel sector, Nick was able to agree terms for a new 149 bedroom hotel with Tulip Inn. The deal was agreed and the scheme was redesigned to Tulip's requirements and a revised planning application submitted within a few months. More recently, the hotel has been enlarged to 171 bedrooms.
Whitbread Group subsequently acquired Tulip Inns UK and the hotel will open as a Premier Inn, the UK's leading economy hotel brand, during 2008.
